Code of Ethics

As a professional coach, I acknowledge and agree to honor my ethical obligations to my coaching clients and colleagues and to the public at large. I pledge to comply with these (Awakened Growth) Code of Ethics, to treat people with dignity as independent and equal human beings, and to model these standards with those whom I coach. I will not breach this Pledge of Ethics or any part of the (Awakened Growth) Code of Ethics by:

1. I will be responsible for setting clear, appropriate, and culturally sensitive boundaries that govern any physical contact that I may have with my clients.

2. I will not become sexually involved with any of my clients.

3. I will construct clear agreements with my clients, and will honor all agreements made in the context of professional coaching relationships.

4. I will ensure that, prior to or at the initial session, my coaching client understands the nature of coaching, the bounds of confidentiality, financial arrangements and other terms of the coaching agreement.

5. I will respect the client's right to terminate coaching for emergencies only.  I do coaching per package and on a monthly basis or paid in full to recieve the discount.  If client no longer wishes to continue with their commitment, services rendered will be paid in full.  All future coaching sessions will be terminated and client will forfeit any initial promotion.  A one time termination fee of $150 will apply to cover my loss of time and scheduling.

6. I will seek the signed consent of a legal parent or guardian if working with a minor as defined by the laws of their state or province.

7. If I believe the client would be better served by another coach, or by another resource, I will encourage the client to make a change.

8. Client Welfare: Members shall make the physical and mental well-being of each client a prime consideration.

9. Client Safety: Members shall not engage in verbal, physical or emotional abuse of any client.

10. Practice Limits: Members shall coach each client within the limits of their training and competence and in conformity to the laws of their state or province.

11. Reasonable Practice: Members shall withhold coaching if a client's behavior, appearance or statements would lead a reasonable person to believe that the client should be evaluated by a licensed health care professional.

CONFIDENTIALITY 

I vow to treat all clients and potential clients with absolute dignity, confidentiality and respect as free and equal individuals.  

I will maintain, store, and dispose of any records, including electronic files and communications created during our coaching engagement if requested.  I will keep all personal matters private and confidential.

I will obtain written permission from any client or potential client before releasing testimonials or references.

Per moral obligation, if you express that you are going to hurt yourself or others, I have to report this behavior to the local authorities if I cannot change your thinking.


SCOPE OFCOACHING
*All peoples throughout their lives experience hardship, trials and tribulations that sometimes leave them in different states of consciousness.  I respect and understand these things and it is my aim to transform lives back into a state of harmony and balance.
